Has any one heard that he's extended now? It's a "Cycle" not a "trilogy"

Which makes no sense. It implies the books are...well, cyclical. And they probably aren't. Why couldn't he just call it a quadrilogy like a normal person? Why does he have to be so speshul all the time? Why-- *asplodes*

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QuadrilogyQuadrilogy, quartet, and tetralogy are all acceptable terms for a four-book/part/whatever series. We're both right, in other words. X3

Next he'll channel the spirit of Robert Jordan and soon, we'll have ten or more books floating around...

God no! No more Jordan!! No more purple prose, at least!! My precious virgin eyes can't handle the pain!!
I haven't looked through more than the first page of here, but who else noticed in Eldest how Roran's story was less interesting, even though he went through a whirlpool and Eragon was just sitting there getting preached to about how to be a leather-wearing vegitarian?

You're right- the thing is, I had completely forgotten about the whirlpool, and it's really sad that characters can go through that and it can be utterly forgettable.
All I remember is that the whirlpool reminded me of "The Bellmaker," a Redwall book. XD

*revives*
I can't even remember the plot of the second book other than Eragon being in something resembling a college movie.*
A fourth book!? I really hope that when Eragon defeats Galbatorix and becomes king he ends up being worse than the old king and the people rise up against him lead by Saphira because she realises what a jerk he is and he is thrown off the throne and put into a mental hospital while Saphira rules as queen.
It's the only way Paolini can redeem himself. ^^
* If you think about it, he is a loser who goes to a higher education institute and instead of focusing on his studies he tries to...be nasty (>_> well what other motivation could he have?) with the most popular girl on campus. At least, the part I can remember.
Say 'Aye' if you think it is based on Paolini's personal experience.
EDIT: And to cap it all off, look what I found on TV Tropes.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you an Epic Fail. x3
