More commonly known as The FuMP.
Exactly What it Says on the Tin. The FuMP is a collection of funny music from various artists, ranging from filk to political parody to just plain weird.
On Tuesdays and Fridays, a new song is uploaded to the main part of the site, from one of the "core members" of the FuMP (ie, the regular contributors). On all other days of the week, a new song is uploaded to the Sideshow, which showcases smaller and less well-known artists. Note that music is always submitted by the artists who write and produce it, so it is completely legal. Furthermore, music uploaded to the site is new, and has not been previously released in other media (though songs on the FuMP are frequently remakes of old songs).
Music is always free to listen to, and you don't need an account to do so. Newly released songs are available for free download for up to one month (I think) after they are released on the site as 128k MP3 files. Or, a 192k MP3 can be bought for 99 cents. CD compilations of FuMP songs are released every two months, which are available for US$9.99 plus shipping. With a level 1 subscription ($4.99 a month), you can download the 192k MP3 files of all songs on the site; with a level 2 subscription, the compilation CD is automatically mailed to you as well.
NOTE: some songs are NSFW. Songs may be tagged as either Explicit or Squick, depending on the content in them. However, some songs that don't have these tags may still contain mild profanity or mild suggestive themes.
If you're looking for some surprisingly good filk, I would recommend The Great Luke Ski (who has to rival Weird Al in the quality of his music), Tom Smith ("the world's fastest filker," this guy has done entire performances of songs he made up on the spot), and Marc Gunn/Brobdignagian Bards (a shockingly delicious mix of sci-fi/fantasy filk and Renaissance fair).
For political parody,
For political/current events parody, I'd say try Devo Spice (no, not the least bit related to a certain girl band) and Robert Lund.
For just plain weird, I'd recommend...pretty much everyone, really.
Personally, my favorite artist here is Worm Quartet. I've never been able to figure out why, since his musical style (synth/punk) is pretty much the polar opposite of what I tend to enjoy.
Note that I haven't been to this site too much recently, so I am running pretty far behind. Still, a few of my (worksafe) favorite songs here are:
Congratulations if you read this far. A little bit of trivia: Rob Balder, one of the creators of The FuMP, is also the author of the webcomic Erfworld.

- Cat Macros, by Tom Smith (which I already linked)
- That Calls for a Wilhelm Scream, by Possible Oscar
- You've Got Hogwarts, by Robert Lund (see how many microseconds it takes you to catch the tune)
- Nugget Man, by Paul and Storm (...seriously, how do you get a gospel choir for a song like this?)
- Jedi Drinking Song Prequel LIVE, by Brobdignagian Bards (if you know how they chose their name, give yourself a cookie)
- Wasted Space Oddity - Drunken Astronauts, by Power Salad (parodying Lisa Nowak, if you hadn't heard of this before)
- Quark's New Merchandising Enterprise - live at CONvergence 2007, by The Great Luke Ski (comedy sketch rather than a song, but a must-listen for any Trekkies, especially DS9 fans)
- Oscilloscope Cathedral, by Worm Quartet
- Kitty-Cat Girl, by TV's Kyle
- Duet With a Klingon, by Carla Ulbrich
- Winter Slay Ride, by Consortium of Genius
- You Don't Know Jack, by The Great Luke Ski. (Okay, so this is a youtube video. It's still awesome. A must for PotC fans.)
