In this thread, we discuss people who have grieveously misinterpreted the meaning behind songs.
The most famous one is "The Stalker Song," a.k.a. "Every Breath You Take." It is about stalking. The singer even admitted to it. STOP PLAYING IT AT YOUR WEDDINGS.
Also, "I Wish I Had an Angel" is up for interpretation, but I find it difficult to see it as anything but a song about date rape. Therefore, I find it entertaining when people say 'It's about the Bacchanalian influences on society!' and other intellectualist interpretations. Look, NW may be considered a thinking person's metal, but let's not take it that far.

i love how khanate only gets good responses, most likely because the rest of the world is scared to say anything. And your certainly not emo considering the genre is based off of fake emotions and the dramatization of them, when this song its self is basically critiquing people like that, so absorbed in themselves and the comfort of normalcy.
