... a cornerstone of my early childhood, the rights have been bought by Destroying Childhood Foundations Inc.; there is no other explanation for the endless string of Land Before Time sequels. Why must they abuse Land Before Time so?! The first movie was, in my purely objective opinion of course, wonderful. Every movie after that has gotten progressively stupider, and the little dinosaurs more immature. There seems to be reverse aging going on here. By now we should be seeing angsty teenage Littlefoot and emo Sarah.

What are they up to now... 13? I saw all of them up to five as a kid, and never got around to finding/watching six... secret of Saurus rock or whatever... but I liked the ones i did see. Have they really gotten that bad? Hmm, well, considering there are thir-freakin'-teen of them now, probably yes.
If they're aging in reverse, why would they turn into teenagers? >_>

Or more. I saw an ad for a new one on TV. ;_; Yes, they're that bad. I saw all of them up to... uh... six, maybe? Didn't really like any after 2 and the island one.
They are aging in reverse in the movies. By normal aging, we should be seeing angsty teens. Or some form of dinosaur teenagerhood.

XD I thought they'd made it into a TV series or something, judging by the ad on Boomerang. (Not that I watch Boomerang; it was on at my younger cousin's birthday party ) The first one was sad, so I didn't like it when I was little. I liked it more later. They have progressively gotten worse, though.

I never thought they were that good in the first place, to be honest.

;_; Xicrog! You crush my joy and happiness! Yeah, the first one is sad, but movies without sadness and without humor are just dull.

ONOEZ I have destroyed your happy childhood, kind of like how finding fanfiction destroyed mine. Not delving into specifics.

ONOEZ I have destroyed your happy childhood, kind of like how finding fanfiction destroyed mine. Not delving into specifics. I once took a look at the Teletubbies section on ff.n, mainly out of surprise that they have one; did you know EVERY SINGLE FIC is a hatefic? it's kinda pathetic. ... Granted, I was too old to watch teletubbies when they started showing it here, and besides I always thought teletubbies were among the creepiest things on Earth (especially the Noo-noo or whatever its name was... soo SCARY), but that's not the point...

XD Teletubbies... I was old enough to mock/despise them when they came out, but I remember one absolutely wonderful episode where the announcer kept singing a song about the number 4 and the teletubbies got sick of the song and started running away from it.

I only have one major complaint about Land before Time:
THE LACK OF CONTINUITY.
In number... I dunno, seven... maybe... The one with the flowers on the front? Ducky's drowning in sludge or some such like that, and Spike TALKS for the first time. He says 'Ducky'. And as a kid, I was so excited 'HE'S GONNA START TALKING HE'S GONNA START TALKING! JUST WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT MOVIE HE'LL BE TALKING WITH THE OTHERS!!'
And... he didn't.
I watched right up to Big Freeze, whatever number that was, waiting with a sense of childhood nostalgia to see if Spike would talk. I think I've about finally given up now.

Seven? No, it was earlier than that, because I'm sure I remember that and I only watched up to five. Hmm, lessee, maybe I can jog your memory...
1 was the one where Littlefoot's mom died (aww) and they had to find the Green Valley. Or Great Valley. Or something. 2 was the one when one of ducky's parents' eggs got stolen and they went to find it and brought back a carnivore egg instead, or something like that, and then these two "sharpteeth" came to the valley after their kid, which in the meantime hatched, was blue, and ate dragonflies. 3 was when a meteor stopped this waterfall and there was no more water in the valley, so they had to go into the 'great beyond' or 'great mist' or whatever they called the place outside their valley to get the water flowing again somehow. I don't remember this one too well =/ 4 was the one where some traveling sauropods - oops, I mean longnecks - came to the valley, and littlefoot's grandpa got sick so one of the traveling longnecks took littlefoot and his friends to find the golden flowers to make him better. This was actually the first one I saw ^^ 5 was when the Green Valley was basically eaten by a plague of locust-type things and all the dinosaurs left looking for a new place to live. The little dinosaurs got stranded on an island with some sharptooths, which turned out to be the same family they met in two XD I really liked the part where Chomper sang about 'Friends for Dinner'...I always cracked up at that.

I thought Spike talked in the fourth one... hm... but I remember I hated that, cuz it destroyed the whole "Oh how sweet Spike doesn't talk" image without anything to show for it. Bleh.
Chomper and his family was indeed amusing.
