Robert Jordan, the author of the infamous (around these parts) Wheel of Time series, passed away a few days ago. His 12-part book series remains unfinished, though there are implications that he has told his family and close friends of his ideas for the series and it may be continued by them.
I can't honestly say I liked WoT, but this is still a loss to the rapidly diminishing writing world.
And now I feel really bad for joking all the time about how he'd die before the series was finished. I didn't think it'd actually happen...

He died? D:
That's sad. I really did like the first four books. And I too feel bad for joking about the books all the time.
And now we'll never know the end.
Robert Jordan, may you rest in peace.

Aww. I never read his books, but... it's never a good thing when a writer dies D= heck, it's never a good thing if people die, period. I'd be said if Christopher Paneenee died.
Sigh. Why do all the fantasy writers keep dying this year? ='(
