And now, we bring you: Bible History according to Mr H., the teacher whose class I have to sit in on because of independent study.
When Moses was born, his mother saved him by hiding him from the Egyptians. Pharaoh was killing all of the newborn Hebrew boys because a prophet had told him that the leader of the Hebrews would soon be born and lead the Hebrews against him.
Moses' birth story meets Jesus' birth story! What fun!
Oh, and when Moses died, he was taken up in a chariot of fire. Yep. Although in fairness a student said that first.

King James Bible. gxcnvmfgkhds
That, children, was the lovely sound of me smashing my head against the keyboard at the many mistranslations present, including changing the gender of one of the disciples. Presumably on purpose.

...Disciple, not apostle.
Junias -> Junia
There are no records of any male person ever being named Junias for one thing, though Junia was a common woman's name.
Also of note is the mistranslation of "deacon" (diakonos) as servant.
But wait! There's more...except I don't feel like transcribing it all. Just run a search for kjbv mistranslations or something. I'm juggling about three forums, two stories, and a chat right now. >_>
